Austrian centre-right MEP resigns, Severin says he did nothing wrong.

Transparency International, a supporter of ALTER-EU, called for a "full investigation" into the allegations, adding that the scandal showed that MEPs had to sign up to a more "robust code of conduct". The group said reformed conduct rules should include ethical standards on conflicts of interest, up-to-date lists of what organisations MEPs belong to outside the Parliament, as well as a full list of both direct and indirect financial interests.
